Traditional almond cake from Northern Italy whose origins go back to medeval times. The name means "crumbly" and the cakes are crumbly.  We make small individual 2.5" cakes and at the Bistro we serve them with fruit compotes  and sauces but they are delicious with just about anything. We make them gluten free.


  • Corn flour, gluten free flour, almonds, sugar, butter, lemon, salt.

  • Serve with custard sauces, cream, lemon curd, or simply with a glass of milk.
